Vaibbhav B Vasa is a skilled Data Engineer and Data Platform Engineer with a strong background in Computer Science fundamentals. He has extensive experience in developing applications using various languages and technology stacks. Currently, he is working with Glance (InMobi Group) Backend Team, where he primarily focuses on the Reporting and Analytics side of things. As an SDE2 - Data Platform at Inmobi, Vaibbhav is responsible for planning, deploying, and maintaining the entire software stack in Azure & GCP and the underlying jobs/code to efficiently store and manage data to gain useful insights in the shortest time. He has worked with various open-source software such as Presto/Trino, Airflow, Hive, Superset, and PubSub. Vaibbhav has also built, deployed, and maintained K8 pods via Helm Charts for various components of the Data Warehouse stack for Glance & Roposo. In his previous role as a Data Engineer at Adobe, Vaibbhav created custom solutions for features not available OOTB in Adobe products. He also worked on data reprocessing for billions of records to cleanse the data in Adobe Analytics. He has experience in creating big data pipelines in Spark on AWS and migrating legacy Apache Pig ETL processes to WFE(Apache Airflow) for scaling and processing higher volumes of data. Vaibbhav has a Post Graduate Program in Big Data Engineering from Birla Institute of Technology and Science, Pilani, and a Post Graduation Program in Data Science Engineering from GLIM. He also holds a Bachelor of Technology (B.Tech.) in Computer Science and Engineering from KIIT University. With over 4 years of relevant experience, Vaibbhav is proficient in various technologies such as Spark, Big Data, AWS, ETL, Java, GCP, Python, Hadoop, Azure, Apache Airflow, Kafka, Data Warehouse, Backend, Kubernetes, Docker, UI, Infra, MapReduce, SQL, Research Scientist, MySQL, MongoDB, Microservices, and Apache Hive.
